Hello from me and all my friends who are a part of this project.
I have had a lifelong interest in finding uses for items that people normally put in the skip. This includes bikes, timber, bricks, refrigerators... you get the picture. For the sake of our environment I believe it is crucial to think laterally, to look for new uses for things and to challenge pre-conceived ideas.
With this in mind I am setting out to create a modern, habitable home in my garden (yes, I have a big garden), which is going to be built using as many reclaimed materials as possible. Something that is comfortable, healthy and energy-efficient. As seen in picture gallery I have amassed a considerable amount of materials by raiding skips, visiting markets and contributions from friends and neighbours.
I have set up this website with the hope of creating a community of like minded individuals who will exchange ideas and perhaps even put some in practice themselves. It is also intended to serve as an access point for people who know me and those who don’t, to see and comment upon what is happening.
