You're an ecocentric John, I like your enthusiasm. Is that a beard?!!

Dear John,

John Gilbert at London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham suggested we had a look at your website which I found very interesting and very much in line with the subject of the documentary we have been commissioned to produce. Storymakers Syndicate (SMS) has been commissioned by Recycle Western Riverside to deliver a series of films documenting how local residents across four London boroughs have embraced recycling at home and within their immediate local community. We are looking for up to ten residents (of all ages) living in the London Borough Hammersmith & Fulham who believe their knowledge of recycling could have a positive impact when shown to others within and outside their local communities. Having looked at your website, it sounds this may be a project you would like to be involved with.

We will be involving those interested in taking part in five weekly sessions where basic practical skills on how to make a documentary will also be provided, although the main objective is to document participants' experiences. The sessions cater for both those who are interested in media, and those who simply want to put their positive views forward.

Sessions will start on Monday 27 June for five consecutive Mondays (4, 11, 18, 25 July) from 6pm to 9pm at the Ecology Centre in Holland Park, followed by a week where we will be filming those taking part at home with their projects. The completed films will be shown at a prestigious venue in September (TBC).

Recycle Western Riverside can provide catering, travel expenses and expenses for child care if required.

If you're interested or know of others who would like to take part, you can contact me in the number or email provided.

Best wishes,

Antonio Ribeiro SMS

Hi John, I understand you came across my 'designing for recycling' website. I would be interested in including your experience of dismantling for reuse as a case study, if you had time to outline the main points of interest and send me a couple of photos. Let me know what you think. best of luck for the project Paola ps the contact us section did not work

John - GP introduced me to your website. I'm a Sustainable Living Coach, but it doesn't look like you need my help...yet!! Except perhaps to point out that Swift looks like a real gem of a mate :0) (You probably already knew that!) All the best with your project. I'll follow it with interest...

Hi John. We met at the Ecobuild conference when I was ranting at the BRE. Lovely site, lovely idea, I completely agree with what you are doing and, if time permits, would love to help you. I have built and taught rammed earth construction, ao that in particular may interest you. Im also a Carpenter and have studied MSc Architecture at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Our website doesnt have much on it at the moment, but it may give you an idea of what we believe in. Im away for most of June, but hope to hear from you soon Cheers, Jason

Have you seen Bruce Goff's Architecture, find him on Google. Limecrete will do the basement and a clay damp proof membrane may be just what you need. Recycled aggregate and no cement. Lets talk some more when you start sketching up ideas for the building. It was great to hear your plans at Weald and Downland last weekend Good luck Brian

John, it looks great, I didn't realise you had progressed so far - do you sleep in the filing cabinet or the old mixer drum?

hi John, What a great site and lovely project. I would love to help, get involved in any way I can. Am particularly interested in the rammed earth (a personal favourite of mine). One suggestion: water catchment perhaps from the existing terrace Anyway, well done and what a brilliant way to get people involved/inspired I look forward to seeing your ideas grow
